Young Mongolian opera singer T.Enkhbat will perform role of Escamillio in 'Carmen' in Russia.
It will be his 15th appearance as a protagonist on the of Mariinsky Theater stage, making him the theater’s youngest singer to be chosen for a leading role 15 times within one year.
Young Mongolian opera singer T.Enkhbat will perform the role of Escamillio in “Carmen”, at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, Russia. It will be his 15th appearance as a protagonist on the of Mariinsky Theater stage, making him the theater’s youngest singer to be chosen for a leading role 15 times within one year. T.Enkhbat graduated from the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory and received an invitation to perform as a soloist at the Mariinsky Theater past year. Singer Enkhbat won the Grand Prix for the international opera competition Star Rhapsody in 2015, and in 2016 and he is the Grand Prix winner of the 10th Spring Songs competition of the previous year.
