It is the first case of withdrawal of money from the offshore zone, reported the Independent Authority against Corruption (IAAC). The report stated that as a result of the investigation operations conducted by the IAAC Investigation Department the withdrawal was made from the publicly announced offshore zone. A joint working group of IAAC and the General Police Office is investigating cases that some Mongolian citizens alleged to having opened accounts in offshore zones and established an offshore company, noted in the report.
