A Mongolian film named ‘The Children of Genghis’ is qualified to nominate in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards and it is the first Mongolian film to compete in the Academy Awards. Produced by D.Zolbayar, the film, based on a true story, depicts a present tradition of the Mongolian horse race. Main character, nine year old boy Byambaa who dreams of becoming a jockey and winning the famous horse race at the State Festival. Despite his father’s rejection, Byambaa decides to pursue his dreams.
