Major General and Director of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mr Badral and board members of “JCI Hiking club” has been agreed to conduct a safety training and drills on mountain rescue.

Major General and Director of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mr Badral and board members of “JCI Hiking club” has been agreed to conduct a safety training and drills on mountain rescue and, on standardizing the personal protective equipment of mountain rescue. Furthermore, the “JCI Hiking club” has expressed its interest in supporting NEMA to organize courses on rescuing and searching victims on the mountain throughout 2018. The need for improving the mountain rescue knowledge of NEMA responders and their personal protective equipment were identified because of the incident which the 17 climbers died because of the avalanche at Otgontenger Mountain last October. The Otgontenger mountain is 4 thousand meters in height and it is the popular destination for climbing tourism, boasting Mongolia`s most extensive granite wall.
