Mongolian-Indian healthcare cooperation strengthened

The Healthcare Center of Darkhan-Uul province signed a memorandum of understanding with Fortis Healthcare Limited of India. Within the memorandum, sides will cooperate on exchange of patients, specialized doctors and information on modern developments in medical science and supporting academic works of doctors and experts. Fortis Healthcare Limited operates its representative office in Ulaanbaatar. A team of Indian doctors is planning to work at the Intermed Hospital, the State First Central Hospital and the National Cancer Center. Preparation of Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction discussed. Mongolia is currently preparing for the Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in mid July in Ulaanbaatar. Within the scope of pre-conference arrangements, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) organized a meeting with representatives of the foreign diplomatic missions, international organizations and non-government organizations to exchange views. The meeting aimed to exchange views on the possibility of cooperation with the foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations on hosting the meeting this summer. The Government seeks to cooperate with foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations in Mongolia on hosting the conference, of which will be co-organized with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR).
