The Embassy of Mongolia in India and doctoral candidate of the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Mongolian teacher Ulziit.L co-organized the ‘Ehipassiko Mongolia’ conference to support Mongolian language learners and to attract young researchers to the Mongolian study in New Delhi on March 15. The conference was held in three sessions and discussed 15 presentations including ‘Early period of the Mongolia-India relations: History of Mongolian writing’, ‘Holidays and celebrations of Mongolia’, ‘Features of Mongolian Buddhism’, ‘Mongolian language’, ‘Position of women in Mongolian society and politics: Revolution of 1921’, ‘Trade relations of Mongolia and India’ and ‘Social network in Mongolia.’ The Jawaharlal Nehru University used to invite Mongolian scholars and teachers to teach Mongolian language and Mongolia’s socio-politics. As a result of efforts of the Embassy of Mongolia in India to revive this tradition, the Center for East Asian Studies re-opened the Mongolian language course for one academic year in 2016 and in 2018 it upgraded the level of training and extended its duration to two years.
