Choreographers improving their skills
The training had purposes to share experiences and technique of modern dance, to give knowledge and information connected to dance art and to broaden cooperation of choreographers.
‘Mongolian Professional Choreographers Association’ NGO and ‘Pearl Dance’ Company jointly organized a training to improve choreographers’ skills with the support of Culture and Arts Development Foundation of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports in Ulaanbaatar. The training had purposes to share experiences and technique of modern dance, to give knowledge and information connected to dance art and to broaden cooperation of choreographers. 28 choreographers from local theatres were involved in five-day training, instructed by German choreographer, Master teacher Suzanne Helmes and Mongolian teachers from professional art institutes. The training agenda included modern dance technique, staging a dance, balance skills, analysis of dance music composition as well as lighting design while having a wide range of knowledge on state policy on culture, laws, and regulations related to arts and cultural sector and arts management.
