Mongolia and Vietnam seek to intensify trade

The deputy speaker told the Vietnamese delegation that communication between the two nations' legislatures is an important channel to deepen mutual trust and cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnam's Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung paid a working visit to Mongolia to accelerate proposed cooperation projects. Deputy Speaker of Parliament Sanjmyatav.Ya received the Vietnamese deputy minister to discuss ongoing projects to promote bilateral cooperation and some other aspects of the relations and cooperation between the two countries. The deputy speaker told the Vietnamese delegation that communication between the two nations' legislatures is an important channel to deepen mutual trust and cooperation between the two countries. Sanjmyatav noted that as a result of the 16th meeting of the Mongolia-Vietnam Intergovernmental Commission held in Ulaanbaatar last year, the two countries made some crucial decisions on expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and targeted to increase their trade turnover to 70 million USD by 2020 and boost exports of meat and meat products between Mongolia to Vietnam. Deputy Minister Trung stated that he will actively work to support initiatives and proposals for expanding bilateral ties as he believes that the two countries should work closely together to expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
