Winter greenhouses will be provided with 100 per cent discounted electricity.

According to the Cabinet decision, winter greenhouses will be provided with 100 per cent discounted electricity of up to 0.768 kWh per square meter, consumed from 22:00 to 06:00 in the period of November 1 to April 1 each year. In frame of the project, it is expected to set up 20 hectares of winter greenhouse farming to supply 6450 tons of vegetables to the market a year. It would decrease import by over 70 percent.  As of this year, there is 24.9 ha of winter greenhouse farming throughout the country, of which over 90 percent is in the central area of Mongolia. Also the survey says that 81 individuals and entities run greenhouse farming.
