Mongolia’s Ambassador visits Italian Geographic Society

Ambassador of Mongolia to Italy Mr. Jambaldorj visited the Italian Geographic Society or SGI to hold meetings with the SGI President Filippo Bencardino and the society representatives. At the meeting, the Ambassador got acquainted with the maps and atlases of Mongolia kept at the SGI which dates back to 1833. The sides exchanged views on expanding bilateral cultural cooperation and displaying an exhibition of items related to historical relations of the two countries. The parties also agreed to open an exhibition featuring the old maps and photographs of modern Mongolia, organize meetings and events for geographers of Mongolia and Italy next spring on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
