Vietnamese defense officials visiting Mongolia
State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier-General Batbileg met with a delegation of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, exchanging views on bilateral defense relations and cooperation.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier-General Batbileg met with a delegation led by Lieutenant General Vu Chien Thang, Director of the Foreign Relations Department at the Ministry of National Defence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, exchanging views on bilateral defense relations and cooperation. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Batbileg said “The two countries have 65 years of traditional relations and it is my pleasure to meet you on the occasion of this historic anniversary. The defense sector occupies an important position in bilateral relations". He expressed his gratitude for giving Mongolian cadets an opportunity to get a bachelor’s degree at defense universities of Vietnam since 2014. "It is fully possible to further expand cooperation in military training, the arms industry, UN peacekeeping operations, and military health care”. Mr. Vu Chien Thang noted that he appreciates the efforts and results obtained in deepening mutual understanding and expanding various joint activities.
