‘Switching on Green Economy’ project to be implemented

State Secretary of the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry held a meeting with Country Director of the People In Need international NGO for Mongolia Timothy Jenkins, Climate Change Advisor and the managers of the ‘Switching on Green Economy’ project. At the meeting, the sides discussed the project in detail including the future goals, objectives and expected results and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry pledged full support. They also exchanged views on ways to expand cooperation between the Agriculture Ministry and People In Need Mongolia. The project will be implemented with the aims of providing the country’s small and medium food, agricultural product and beverage producers and retailers with information necessary for changing their approach and supporting the introduction of eco-labeling, green financing sources, a circular economic model.
