State Great Hural Chairman receives Director General of ADB’s East Asia Department
On November 21, the Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Mr. Zandanshatar received a delegation led by the Director General of ADB’s East Asia Department Ms. Teresa Kho.
On November 21, the Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Mr. Zandanshatar received a delegation led by the Director General of ADB’s East Asia Department Ms. Teresa Kho. During the meeting, the parties discussed and exchanged views on the progress of the projects being co-implemented by Mongolia and ADB, the possibility of implementing new projects to attract investments to support the green economy, intensify sustainable development, and combat climate change and desertification. Thanking the State Great Hural Chairman for taking the time to meet with her, Ms. Teresa Kho stressed the need to intensify the progress of some projects planned to be implemented by the ADB and requested the support of the Mongolian Parliament. State Great Hural Chairman Mr. Zandanshatar expressed that the State Great Hural will support the creation of a favorable legal framework for the intensification of cooperation between the two sides while mentioning that the State Great Hural is paying special attention to stimulating the economy and supporting the private sector. In addition, the Mongolian Speaker expressed his willingness to expand effective cooperation with the ADB to attract investments to support the spheres of green economy, tourism, food supply and security, agriculture, and energy. The Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, ADB Country Director for Mongolia, and other relevant officials were present at the meeting.
