Representatives of the mining companies during the forum highlighted the possibility of a digital transition to bring the leading mining sector of the Mongolian economy to a new technological stage. During the forum, the Australian company Martech licensed A$1.6 million worth of mine planning training software to the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the Mongolian German School of Technology, which trains mining personnel. "The mining sector is important for economic development and growth in both Mongolia and Australia. Investing in building human resource capacity and developing the necessary skills is vital to driving innovation in the mining industry," the Ambassador of Australia to Mongolia stated.
