The 33rd National Book Day is to be held on the 19th of this month in the South-Eastern Govisumber Province, on the 21st in the Eatern Gobi Dornogovi province and on the 26-28th in Ulaanbaatar. After its inauguration in Govisumber’s Central Library and Stopping by Dornogovi, the National Book day is to be stationed at the Sukhbaatar central square in Ulaanbaatar until 10 o’clock in the evening. With a moto as “Let’s read more”, the event spans a variety of mind stimulating programs. For fans of reading, bookworms, networking and social events such as BookCon, Book Networking, Change my mind, Quizzes and “Read and you shall be rewarded” are to be organized. Moreover, the visitors will also be entertained by musical performances and have a chance to win surprise gifts. Over 200 publishers, 300 authors consistently take part in the National Book Day. For this year’s celebration, about 10 international guests have registered. On average, the National Book Day event is visited by about 180’000 people annually. The Book World NGO, the organizers of this event, have initiated the establishment of grants for publishers that are working to print out critical, educational content. The visitors of the National Book Day also receive free magazines with information summarizing books at the event.
