Mongolia-China Expo holds
The Fourth Mongolia-China Expo was held on September 6-10 in Hohhot, the capital city the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of PRC.
Within the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China, the Fourth Mongolia-China Expo was held on September 6-10 in Hohhot, the capital city the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of PRC. The Expo under the theme "New pattern for opening-up, new opportunities" features a series of activities, including an economic and trade forum for China's northward opening-up, exhibitions, and cultural exchanges. Members of the Industrialization Policy Standing Committee of the State Great Khural and some Ministers visited the Expo. MP and Deputy Prime Minister Amarsaikhan delivered remarks at the opening ceremony, expressing the intention of the Government of Mongolia to increase trade with China further, expanding the types of export and import products, to support investment, specifically investment into renewable energy sector. Vice chairman of the Standing Committee of National People's Congress He Wei stated in his speech at the opening that the Mongolia-China Expo plays a remarkable role in strengthening trade and economic cooperation as well as cultural exchange between not only Mongolia and China but also among the countries in Northeast Asia. He also expressed that the country will continue to focus on speeding up economic circulation in the areas of border trade, mining, new energy, information technology, port infrastructure, development of border ports, combating desertification, education, and health. The main exhibition area of the Fourth Mongolia-China Expo covers 92,000 square meters, and over 3000 companies from 35 countries and regions, in particular, over 500 companies from Mongolia participated in the Expo.
