The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Department of Political Science of the National University of Mongolia, Otgontenger University, Institute of Political Science of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia, and Department of European Studies of the National University of Mongolia jointly organized an international scientific conference on the topic "European Union: Current State, Future Trends." The purpose and significance of this international conference are to comprehensively discuss the results of the implementation of the goals, values, and ideas reflected in the MIP and other political and legal documents, based on facts, calculations, and research, as well as to assess the current situation and determine further tasks. The Conference discussed the successes, achievements, and experiences of Mongolia-EU relations, as well as emerging challenges and ways and solutions for further development. The European Union (EU) is a strategic third neighbor, reliable partner, and main partner of Mongolia in strengthening democratic governance with respect for human rights, forming civil society, achieving sustainable development goals, growing the economy, reducing poverty, and entering the European market. Under the principles and provisions of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, ratified 10 years ago, relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the EU have continued to expand and deepen, with increasingly diverse forms and content.
