Event on Mongolia's capital market connectivity organized in Hong Kong
The event "Mongolia's Capital Market Connectivity: Hong Kong" was organized on November 29
The event "Mongolia's Capital Market Connectivity: Hong Kong" was organized on November 29 to connect Mongolia's capital market with the markets of the Asia-Pacific region, create the opportunity for domestic companies to list twice on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, create a favorable legal environment to increase foreign investment in Mongolia through the capital market, and to improve the conditions for foreign investors. The Consul General of Mongolia in Hong Kong and Macau, the Financial Services and Treasury Bureau (FSTB), the heads of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) took part in the event on the Hong Kond side, and the heads of the Financial Regulatory Commission and the Mongolian Stock Exchange attended on the Mongolian side. The event was opened by Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Commission Bayarsaikhan Dembereldash, Under Secretary of the Hong Kong Financial Services and Treasury Bureau Joseph Chan, and Director of International Business Relations of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Silvia Chen. During this event, an information was provided on the economic and capital market status of Mongolia, the policies pursued by the government and regulatory organizations towards the development of the capital market. The Mongolian Stock Exchange discussed the possibility of dual listing of shares and issuing depositary receipts on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and shared its experience.
