Mongolia to host its first international night running festival

“Night Marathon Ulaanbaatar 2026” is Mongolia’s first international night running festival.

The registration for the “Night Marathon Ulaanbaatar 2026” international night running festival, scheduled to take place in Ulaanbaatar on September 26, reached its participant limit and closed yesterday, four hours earlier than the originally scheduled deadline. However, as requests from people wishing to participate continued to pour in even after registration closed, the organizers have decided to briefly reopen registration in response to public demand. The organizers noted that the reopened registration will be available for a limited time and with a limited number of additional slots, and encouraged interested participants to register as soon as possible.

“Night Marathon Ulaanbaatar 2026” is Mongolia’s first international night running festival, bringing together the city’s nighttime atmosphere, energy, music, sports, and urban culture in one event. Participants will compete in three race categories: 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km.

The event will combine road running with live concerts, city lights, a unique nighttime atmosphere, music, DJ performances, and cultural and artistic shows.
