UNWTO encourages Mongolia to become heart of world nomadic tourism. In a press statement in the light of the Government’s first 100 days the Minister of Environment and Green Development Mrs. D.Oyunkhorol noted “Mongolia would be the heart of nomadic tourism”. One of the key actions, taken in the last three months, is the International Silk Road Conference hosted in Ulaanbaatar. The United Nations World Tourism Organization has pledged its support in establishing a Center for Nomadic Tourism and encouraged Mongolia to become the center of world nomadic tourism and the regional leader. The government will put more effort to raise the number of employees in tourism from 50 thousand to 100 thousand. According to the high-ranking officials, the Ministry has been preparing a bill on environmental rehabilitation for submission to the Parliament.
