A new ski resort will be opened at the showground and race field of Khui Doloon Khudag, located 32 km from the Mongolian capital city Ulaanbaatar.
Showground nearby Ulaanbaatar turns into ski resort. A new ski resort will be opened at the showground and race field of Khui Doloon Khudag, located 32 km from the Mongolian capital city Ulaanbaatar. The field is usually used for horse racing in July during the Naadam Festival. Designed to provide leisure for the general public and attract tourists in winter, the so-called UB Resort is being modernized at the expense of the Ulaanbaatar City Administration. So far, a spot for playing an ice version of the traditional Mongolian game of knucklebones and an ice-skating rink have already been opened. The City Administration promised that the new resort will be the most affordable in Mongolia. Once the ski resort opens, Khui Doloon Khudag – the Mongol Naadam Complex – will be able to operate throughout the year.
