Mongolia NOC has organized farewell ceremony for Sapporo-2017 Asian Winter Games at Olympic House in Ulaanbaatar. Mr.Erdenechimeg Barkhuu will be first-ever-biathlon-athlete to carry national flag at opening ceremony. Mongolia NOC has sent its team to all eight editions of Asian Winter Games, since 1986 and captured 1 silver in bandy and 6 bronze medals in cross country ski relay, free-style and ski orienteering. This time 48 athletes in cross country ski, speed skating, alpine ski, short track, biathlon and ice hockey will compete at Sapporo, which is hosting for the third time Asian Winter Games.
