The opening of the photo exhibition for the memory of the Russian Master of Sports, champion and coach Sergey Glazunov within the framework of the days of Mongolian-Russian Friendship and Cooperation was held at the National Museum of Mongolia. The exhibition organized by the Mongolian National Climbing Federation, in frames of the project named “There’s always a chance” was aimed to create a support fund for young athletes, promote mountain sports, create new routes and organize training for athletes during the exhibition. Master of Sports of Russia, Sergey Glazunov, unfortunately, passed away while climbing the Latok in Pakistan with his partner on July 26, 2018. The exhibition dedicated to the mountaineer’s memory has about eighty photographs of mountain sports and climbers from which audiences can see that the life of a mountaineer is full of energy, and intensity.

“My brother was a man who always longed for development, strived toward excellence cherishing the value of life and time, and he was a man who kept his words and just wanted to be happy,” his brother Master of Sports, Evgeny Glazunov said.

“Sergey was not only a mountaineer but also a photographer. He took photos of the way he backpacked, the achievement he made and challenges mountaineers faced. I'm happy to be exhibiting his photographs. We have previously shown our exhibition which consists of three parts in more than 20 Russian cities and in Poland. We started working with Mongolian climbing clubs a year ago. I'm confident that this exhibition will contribute to the friendship of mountaineers of the two countries as well as the peoples' friendship,” Evgeny Glazunov added. The exhibition was held for two days.
