Mongolian President to Make State Visit to Germany
President Khurelsukh’s upcoming visit to Germany aims to strengthen bilateral ties in trade, education, science and culture.
President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh will pay a state visit to Germany from October 19 to 22 at the invitation of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The visit will be the first state visit by a Mongolian president to Germany in 14 years and coincides with the 100th anniversary of educational cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, the two presidents are expected to hold official talks on expanding cooperation in trade, the economy, education, science and culture. They are also scheduled to sign a joint declaration outlining priorities for strengthening the strategic partnership between Mongolia and Germany.
The program will include the opening of an exhibition titled “Chinggis Khaan and the World of the Mongols” in Berlin, highlighting Mongolia’s history and cultural heritage.
A Mongolia-Germany business forum and scientific events will also be held to promote economic ties, research collaboration and cultural exchange.
Mongolia and Germany established diplomatic relations in 1974 and elevated their relationship to a strategic partnership in 2024, during President Steinmeier’s state visit to Mongolia.
Germany is an important European partner for Mongolia, particularly in education, vocational training, sustainable development and economic cooperation. The upcoming visit is expected to build on these longstanding ties and identify new areas for collaboration.
